Body, Breath & Mind workshop - Sa 23.2.2019


Saturday morning workshop with main ephases on developing yogic breath work (Pranayama), combining practices for body, breath and mind as well as philosophy. Workshop is suitable for practitioners who are able to take at least 20 breaths with length of breath ratio (Inhale / Exhale 1:2).Led by Ziggy.

Yoga postures will be practised with focus on awareness of movement and staying present.

The breath work will include preparatory Pranayama practices, which cleanse and relax particular parts of body and get one ready for Pranayama itself, followed by 3 - 4 Pranayama techniques.

With the help of meditation techniques we will work on concentration and ability to keep our mind one pointed.

Important part of the workshop is Introduction to Patanjali Yoga Sutras, one of the key yogic texts.

  • Participants are expected to take 20 breaths (length of breath ratio - Inhale & exhale 1:2)
  • Please come on empty stomach or have light breakfast by 8:00.
  • Take comfortable clothes, water and small towel. 


9:15 – 9:45 lecture (Introduction to Patanjali Yoga Sutras)

9:50 – 10:35 practice of yoga poses (Asana)

10:45 – 12:00 breath work (Pranayama)

12:00 – 12:15 meditation

12:15 – 12:30 Q&A
