Ivana Haluzová

I started practicing yoga in 2002 in Hong Kong, where I was living with my husband for 6 wonderful years. In the beginning my attendance was sporadic but soon yoga classes became an important part of my working week. From one, sometimes two, classes a week a regular practice grew and with it a desire to learn and discover more.

In 2005 I began my first teacher-training course focused on Hatha yoga, it’s practice and philosophy. A year later I was introduced to Ashtanga yoga, a system that has deepened and enhanced my yoga practice and led me further on the yoga path.
In the same year I took my second training course, this time with the focus on Ashtanga yoga and pranayma led by Paul Dallaghan in Yoga Thailand and my love and respect for both practices was firmly rooted. After completing the course I started teaching yoga classes at different studios in Hong Kong. The years passed quickly and the time arrived to move back to the Czech Republic.
Before making the move I travelled to India to practice at AYRI in Mysore and then back to Yoga Thailand for more training.
Now back in Prague, many things are different to those in Hong Kong, but the yoga practice remains a constant, helping me to find the way through.
I believe that yoga is a continuous study, growth and experience that makes our every day lives extraordinary. I am grateful to all my teachers for sharing their knowledge and also for the opportunity to share the little I know with others.
